The composition, written in 2006, is dedicated to a Polish guitarist Anna Pietrzak. Its title, Hommage à Aleksander Tansman, reveals author’s interests in Polish music and the legacy of Aleksander Tansman, one of the most famous composers of the 20th century, that he turns his attention to. The composition in some places echoes Cavatina’s author’s style and contains references to Polish folk music. However, Pasieczny cites these motifs with his unique panache and ease. As in the case of his every work, the guitarist/composer fully utilizes technical capabilities, harmony and textures of the instrument. Level of the difficulty of the composition is relatively high.
